Due to requests – and because I find myself behind in A New Hope – I decided to go Nathanish and post what I made Mom for Mother’s Day. The original piece looks a bit better; the scanner doesn’t seem to be real good with pencil crayon.

  1. Nice. I suppose I shall now actually have to read it so I have a reference point…

  3. Just out of curiosity, is there a story to this?

  4. A story to what? Mother’s Day? Sir Gawain? Habnabits?

  5. A story behind you drawing your mother a picture of Sir Gawain and the green Habnabit.

  6. Traditionally, for Mother’s day, I would give Mom something that I made rather than something that I bought. The idea being that I’m spending more of my own time to do something special. Last year, I made the stick man Cyrano De Bercerac thing mentioned in the first two strips. Now that I had put together Stickman Studios, I couldn’t do another stick person thing, so I decided I would draw something that involved Habnabits. Because of how they’re dressed, the best way to distinguish characters was by their color combinations and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight would be perfect in that area.
